General

Am I required to have a “Boaters Education Certificate to operate a boat or jet ski?

Arizona does not require boater education for boat operators, it is recommended that all boaters take a boater safety course that is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators.

Do you have a Captain or Driver for the Boat?

Yes, we do offer Captain services for half day and full day rentals. Captain & Instructor Fee’s ($350 full day, $200 half day)

Where do we meet up and how do we launch the boat?

We make this process very easy and convenient for your group. The renter will meet the staff in the upper parking lot of the boat ramp. There will be a quick overview and briefing of the boat mechanics and features. This also includes a walk through for before and after inspection purposes. Once the renter signs the agreement, your group will be in the boat while our staff launches the boat in the water for you.

Bookings & Cancellations

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel at least 24 hours before your arrival date then you will receive a 100% refund. If the weather is severe and we determine that you cannot go out on the day you are scheduled, then you will also receive a full refund. If there is any need to change dates or times, please give our office a call as soon as you foresee a problem so that we can reschedule you. As long as you have given us sufficient notice there will be no charge for rescheduling.

What if we need to cancel or someone in our group doesn’t show up?

If anyone in your group needs to cancel please call the office, we must be notified 24 hours prior to receive a refund. If you or anyone in your group does not show up you will not receive a refund and will not be eligible to reschedule.

The weather Is getting rough, what do I do?

If it seems a storm is approaching, the crew and office staff keep watch on the radar and discuss options. If you are nervous about inclement weather you can cancel and reschedule at any time, but cancelling is usually a last minute decision. It is highly recommended that you let the Lagoon Pontoon management make the call. If cancelled due to bad weather you will have the opportunity to cancel, reschedule, or receive a refund.

Boat Rentals

Do I need previous boating experience to operate the deck boats?

Yes. Even though this 26ft Deck Boat is easy & safe to operate you need to have previous boating experience. We will give you a thorough orientation, which includes operation of the boats controls, a map to guide you through local waters & we will make you aware of any laws or regulations that apply to you. If you can tell left from right you can be taught to operate a deck boat in our waters.

How many people can your deck boats hold?

Bring the whole gang! All of our deck boats can hold up to 10 people which makes them a great way for your entire group to spend the day together. If you have more than 10 people, consider getting two boats.

Do we need to bring out own life jackets for the kids?

No. We will supply life vests for everyone including children and infants.

What’s the minimum age for renting the boat?

You must be 18 to legally rent any watercraft in Arizona however our company policy is the renter must 25 years or older with valid ID. Any age can go along for the ride.

What’s included in your deck boat rentals?

All of our boats are fully equipped with USCG safety equipment, retractable Bimini tops for shade if you want, anchors, swim ladders and plenty of storage under the seats. We also include a map of the area and helpful tips to make your day on the water as care free as possible. Gas is also included in your rental.

What should we bring?

Depends on what you want to do. Some suggestions include:

• Towels

• Water toys for swimming

• Cooler loaded with your favorite snacks &beverages

• Sunblock

• Sunglasses

• Hats

• Camera

Can we pull a tube or skis behind the deck boats?

Yes, we do allow you to tow a tube only if a person is in the tube. Otherwise, anything else is not allowed to be pulled behind the boats.

What if I’m not sure which day to rent a deck boat?

We understand that you want to fit everything into your visit or vacation & that weather doesn’t always work in your favor. You should know that pontoon boat rentals are one of the most popular attractions in Lake Pleasant so we encourage you to book as early as possible but if inclement weather hits you will be given priority for rescheduling to ensure you don’t miss out on this activity.
